Joango gara gaur Kataluniara non Vilanova i la Geltrú izeneko herrian bada trenbide museo itzela.
1990eko abuztuaren 5ean, ireki zen lehen fasean. Gaur egun, Espainiako trenbideen fundazioak kudeatzen du museoa.
Museoa etengabe berritzen ari da eta dagoeneko birritan bisitatu ahal izan dugu. Iberiar penintsulan trenbidearen erabilerari dagokionez, Katalunia aitzindaria izan zen; izan ere, 1848ko urriaren 28an inauguratu zuen bere lehen linea Bartzelonatik Matarora. Paradoxikoki, ez zen lehen trenbide “espainiarra” izan, garai hartan Kuba trenbidez gozatzen ari baitzen 1837ko azaroaren 19tik, eta garai hartan Kuba Espainiako Koroaren parte zen. Museo honek lurrun lokomotorren bilduma zabala du, neurri handi batean Espainiako Estatuko lokomotorren historia biltzen duena.
